About Serenity Kennel
Who We Are
Our mission is to remove barriers for individuals seeking chemical dependency treatment by providing temporary foster care for their pets. Through our FosterBridge program, we connect pets with volunteer foster families while their owners are in treatment. As a new and growing organization, FosterBridge currently operates through a referral partnership with The Retreat in Wayzata. This partnership allows us to provide safe, structured placements while we continue building our foster network and working toward the future of Serenity Kennel.

Our Vision
Serenity Kennel's long-term vision is to establish a dedicated facility where pets can receive safe, compassionate care while their owners focus on treatment and recovery.
As we grow, we hope to expand our reach, build new partnerships, and create the capacity to serve more individuals and their pets throughout the recovery community.
A Bridge Between Treatment and Home
The FosterBridge Program
FosterBridge is Serenity Kennel's temporary foster care program for pets belonging to individuals entering inpatient chemical dependency treatment. The program currently operates through our referral partnership with The Retreat in Wayzata, where we work with individuals entering treatment who need temporary care for their pets.
Serenity Kennel carefully coordinates each placement to match pets with safe, responsible foster homes where they receive consistent care and stability while their owners are in treatment. By helping preserve the relationship people have with their animals during this time, FosterBridge removes one more barrier to entering recovery and allows individuals to reunite with their pets once treatment is complete.
